Export participant responses from modern reports

Export participant responses from Open End and Net Promoter Score℠ tiles in Excel (XLSX) format.

You can export participant responses from the following report tile types:

  • Open End tiles for Short Answer, Long Answer, Email, Zip / Postal Code, and Phone Number.
  • Net Promoter Score℠1 Follow-up Responses.
Note: To export sensitive data, you must be an Admin, or a Power User, Author, or Analyst with the Can access sensitive data permission enabled.
  1. Click the options menu for the tile, and select Export Responses (.xlsx).

    The Active Exports dialog is displayed.

  2. Click Download next to the export you want to download, and then follow your browser's prompts to download and open the file.

    Depending on the size of the export file, you may need to wait, or return later, to download the file.

  3. Click Close.

The export file includes different tabs depending on the features enabled for the tab:

  • Responses: If AI Sentiment Analysis is not enabled in the report tile, a Responses tab is included listing all of the participant responses to the question.
  • AI Sentiment Analysis: This tab is included if AI Sentiment Analysis is enabled for the report tile. A separate row is included for each participant response with the associated sentiment information.
  • AI Summary: This tab is included if AI Summary is enabled for the report tile. It includes the AI overview and the positive and negative takeaways.
  • A tab with details of each takeaway: If AI Summary is enabled for the report tile, a separate tab is included for each positive takeaway and each negative takeaway.

Responses

For exports of tiles that do not include AI Sentiment Analysis or AI Summary, a single Response tab is included with the following information:

  • #: The number of the response row.
  • MemberID: The unique identifier for the user on the Alida platform.
  • ResponseStatus: The status of the participant's response to the survey.
  • ResponseStartDate: The timestamp when the participant started the survey.
  • ResponseCompleteDate: The timestamp when the participant completed the survey.
  • NPS: The score for NPS questions.
  • Responses: The text of individual participant responses.

AI Sentiment Analysis

For AI Sentiment Analysis exports a single tab is added with the following information:

  • #: The number of the response row.
  • MemberID: The unique identifier for the user on the Alida platform.
  • ResponseStatus: The status of the participant's response to the survey.
  • ResponseStartDate: The timestamp when the participant started the survey.
  • ResponseCompleteDate: The timestamp when the participant completed the survey.
  • Responses: The response text entered by the participant.
  • OverallSentiment: The overall sentiment (positive or negative) assigned to the response by generative AI.
  • Topics: The list of topics identified in the response by generative AI.
  • TopicSentiment: The list of sentiments (positive or negative) assigned to the corresponding topics by generative AI.

AI Summary

For AI Summary exports several tabs are added with the following information:

  • An AI Summary tab that includes the AI overview text, and details for the positive and negative takeaways.

  • A Responses tab that includes a row for each participant response with the following information:
    • #: The number of the response row.
    • MemberID: The unique identifier for the user on the Alida platform.
    • ResponseStatus: The status of the participant's response to the survey.
    • ResponseStartDate: The timestamp when the participant started the survey.
    • ResponseCompleteDate: The timestamp when the participant completed the survey.
    • NPS: The score for NPS questions.
    • Responses: The text of individual participant responses.
  • A details tab for each positive and negative takeaway. Each of these tabs includes a row for each participant response with the following information:
    • #: The number of the response row.
    • Sentiment: The sentiment of the response identified by generative AI.
    • Takeaway: The takeaway associated with the response identified by generative AI.
    • MemberID: The unique identifier for the user on the Alida platform.
    • ResponseStatus: The status of the participant's response to the survey.
    • ResponseStartDate: The timestamp when the participant started the survey.
    • ResponseCompleteDate: The timestamp when the participant completed the survey.
    • NPS: The score for NPS questions.
    • Responses: The text of individual participant responses.
