Hide a question

Hide a question from all participants.

Hiding a question allows you to remove a question in a live survey without losing the data it has collected.

Note: Hidden questions that are used for capturing and appending values should be placed at the beginning of the survey.
Example: Hide a question that has collected data
You distribute a survey that contains the following question:
Do you own a vehicle?
  • Yes
  • No

After you analyze your survey data, you conclude the "Vehicle" question is no longer relevant to your study. You decide to remove the "Vehicle" question from your survey, but you don't want to delete the data the question has collected.

To do this, you open the "Vehicle" question in the survey Table of Contents, and then select Hide question in the Edit Pane. After you republish, any participant who has not yet started the survey will see the updated version of the survey without the "Vehicle" question.
