Edit a quick poll

Make changes to a live quick poll.

Note:
  • This content about Community portals applies to new customers who do not have Member Hubs. Upgraded customers use Member Hubs, or continue to use their portal setup from Sparq 1.
  • Changes you make to a live quick poll may affect the data being collected.
  1. Open the Community app and click Community > Member Experience at the top of the page.
  2. Click Portal Content.
  3. From the View Widgets for menu, select the community.
    This step applies only if you have multiple communities.
  4. In the Widgets pane, click the quick poll you want to edit.
  5. In the Widget Name field, edit the quick poll name (maximum 55 characters).
    The widget name is not visible to members, and is used in quick poll reporting.
  6. Optional: In the Question text field, edit the question text (maximum 150 characters).
  7. Optional: In the Answer text fields, edit the existing answer options or add new answer options (maximum 65 characters for each answer).
    Note:
    • You can have 2 to 6 answer options.
    • You cannot delete existing answer options from a live quick poll.
    • After you click Save, you cannot delete any new answer options.
  8. Click Save.
    Result: The widget appears at the top of the Widgets pane and a preview of the widget appears in the Preview area.
  9. Optional: To show or hide the widget, on the Widget toolbar, click the Show/Hide button.
    Note: Hidden widgets appear dimmed in the Widgets pane.
    Result: The application automatically saves the changes you make to the show/hide setting. However, the changes are not live until you click Publish.
  10. To get an idea of how the widgets are arranged on the portal home page, click Preview.
    Result: A preview of the portal home page opens in a new tab.
  11. To publish widget changes, click Publish.
