Add a video discussion appointment to your calendar

Each invite to a video discussion invite include a file attachment you can use to add the interview details to your personal calendar.

  1. Open the Video Discussions invite email.
  2. The process for adding the appointment to your calendar depends on your email client:
    • For Apple Calendar:
      • Double-click thecalendar.ics file.
      • In the Add Event dialog box, choose the calendar to add the event to, and click OK.
    • For Google Calendar:
      • Click the Download link next to the .ics file.
      • Select Settings > Settings
      • Select Import & Export in the left-hand menu.
      • Click Select file from your computer and choose the calendar.ics file.
      • Select the calendar to add the appointment to.
      • Click Import.
      • Click OK in the confirmation dialog box.
    • For Microsoft Outlook:
      • Click the drop-down arrow next to the .ics file attachment and select Open.
      • In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
      • In the Appointment dialog box, click Copy to My Calendar.
      • In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.

    For other email clients, consult the product's documentation for the required steps to import an iCal file (ics).

    Note: The calendar entry typically includes a meaningful name for the video discussion, but defaults to a unique identifier if the moderator did not specify a name. You can replace the identifier in your calendar entry title with your own title that clearly identifies the purpose of the meeting.
