Manage project settings

You can enable or disable project settings to define the features available and privacy settings for your project.

Prerequisites:

You must be an Admin, or a Power User, Author, or Video Discussions User with the Can schedule Video interviews and manage projects permission to complete this task.

  1. Navigate to the Video Discussions Overview page.
  2. Click Settings in the top-right of the page.
  3. To update the name of the project, click Edit next to the project name and enter the new project name.
  4. Adjust any of the following settings to manage your project preferences:
    Option Description
    Private Project When selected the project is only visible to collaborators and editors.
    Blur Interview Recordings When selected, participants are blurred in the recording after the interview.
    Use Pseudonyms When selected, participant and moderator names are replaced with automatically assigned pseudonyms (eg. Moderator #1, Panelist #1, etc.).
    Audio-Only Interviews When selected, no video is recorded in the meeting rooms.
    Disable Recordings When selected, the session cannot be recorded.
    Require Respondents to Participate via Computer When selected, mobile devices and tablets are not supported for interviews, and will be blocked from the Video Test and meeting room.
    Observers Must Wait to Enter When selected, observers are kept in the waiting room until the moderator brings them into the backroom.
    Restrict Observer Audio When selected, and a simultaneous translator is used, observers will only hear the translated audio. They will not hear native audio of respondents.
    Hide Tech Check Image When selected, the respondent tech check image is hidden from observers in the meeting room.
    Hide Discussion Guides When selected, the discussion guide is hidden from observers in the meeting room.
    Takeaways When selected, takeaway questions are shown to moderators and observers after each interview.
    Note: The following permissions on the settings page are handled through Alida, not through the Overview page:
