Change a participant's status

Change status points mark the end of your survey and let you ask the participant follow-up questions.

Change status points can be used in conjunction with quota checks and conditional sequences to mark participants as complete, disqualified, or over quota, prior to the end of your survey. Participants that hit a change status action will not be made aware they were disqualified or have been flagged as complete as they continue to answer the rest of the questions in your survey.

  1. In Power Survey Authoring, click the Questionnaire tab.
  2. On the Authoring Navigation Bar, click Action and select Change Status.
  3. In the New Change Status dialog, type a name, and then click OK.
  4. From the Change Response Status To list, select one of the following reasons for changing the status:
    • Completed: Member status is recorded as Completed, and the member's data is included in live data reports.
    • Disqualified: Member status is recorded as Disqualified, and the members' data is not included in the live data reports. The data is stored however, and can be exported.
    • Over Quota: Member status is recorded as Over Quota, and the members' data is not included in live data reports. The data is still stored however, and can be exported.
  5. Optional: If you are adding the change status point to a block, set the display properties.
    1. Click Properties.
    2. Select one of the following options:
    • Fixed: The position is fixed, regardless of the selected option in the Randomize/Rotate section.
    • Use block settings: The selected option in the Randomize/Rotate section applies to the second block.
  6. Click Save, and then validate your survey by clicking Validate.
