Activities

Activities resources can return data about surveys, forums or responses.

Use Activities resources to get:
  • An activity ID, name, or type.
  • The current status of an activity.
  • The GUID of the person who created or updated an activity.

You can also use Activities resources with Member Events to see which members participated in a survey or forum. For more information, see Member Events.

There are four basic activity types available to all communities:

Activity type Description
Surveys

There are two types of surveys:

  • Research survey: A series of questions measuring members' attitudes, beliefs, opinions, and habits. For more information, see Surveys.
  • Recruitment survey: A series of member profile questions about the demographic makeup of your community. For more information, see Recruitment.
Power Surveys Power Surveys use advanced features and scripting to measure members' attitudes, beliefs, opinions, and habits. For more information, see Power Surveys.
Forums

Forums conduct qualitative research within an online meeting place.

External Activities

Activities created outside of the application that leverage Alida platform functionality, such as distribution and analytics.
