Add questions or profile variables to a report
Choose the data that is displayed in your report by adding questions or variables.
- The
application uses the profile variable value that is collected at the time of
survey completion in reports, report filters, and subgroups. This behavior has
the following implications:
- The profile variable value that is used may not reflect the current value.
- If no previous value exists for a member, the current value is used.
However, the profile variable value is reflected immediately if it is a
memberstatus
value. For more information, see Profile variables. - The survey that you open and create a report for is your primary survey. When you add a question from a secondary survey (another survey), a subset of the response data is added to the report. Data from the secondary survey is only included when it comes from participants in your primary survey.
- The participation status (complete, incomplete, or both) setting for the report also applies to the secondary survey.
Adding questions from another survey and response data |
---|
You are viewing a report about exercise. The report is set to include data from participants who have completed the survey (participation status is Complete). To pull in relevant response data, you add a question about diets from a secondary survey (another survey). For a participant's data to be included in the report, the participant must have completed both the primary and secondary surveys. Even if the participant has started the secondary survey and there is data recorded for the diet question, their response will not be added to the report. Recodes are up-to-date in Analyze regardless of whether the recode was created when the survey is live or closed. However, it is recommended that recodes are created before the survey is live or after responses are collected. |
