Working with AI Summary
results in modern reports
The AI Summary tab uses generative AI to analyze qualitative responses and provide an overview of the findings, and lists positive and negative takeaways that highlight the key themes identified.
AI Summary uses generative AI to automatically:
- Analyze all open-ended responses and produce an overview of the key findings and associated sentiment.
- Create lists of both positive and negative takeaways. You can drill down in the takeaway panels to view the individual responses associated with each takeaway.
The sentiment associated with each takeaway provides important context. It allows you to understand if users are experiencing your product or service in a positive or negative way. The number of responses associated with a takeaway indicates the relative importance of the takeaway.
Overview
The Overview section provides a short overview of the key findings identified by Alida AI after analyzing all of the participant responses to the question. This enables you to get a quick sense of the types of feedback your survey participants are providing, and what to look for as you read through the takeaways and drill down to view individual responses.
Click Copy Overview to copy the contents of the overview. You can paste the overview into a presentation, an email message, or other third-party applications.
If you refresh data in your report, you can click Regenerate Summary to regenerate the AI summary information to include any new participant responses in the analysis.
Positive and Negative Takeaways
Separate panels are displayed with Positive Takeaways and Negative Takeaways. Takeaways are the key points and messages identified in the analyzed responses. The takeaways are sorted by the number of responses in descending order. The number of responses, and the number or responses as a percentage of all responses, are displayed.
Drill down to view individual responses
For both Positive Takeaways and Negative Takeaways, you can drill down to view the individual responses associated with each takeaway in the Responses Summarized page.
The Responses Summarized page displays:
- Sentiment identified: Each takeaway is assigned an overall Positive or Negative sentiment.
- Takeaway text: The key finding identified is summarized by the takeaway text.
- Count and percentage: The count of individual responses associated with the takeaway, and the percentage of the total responses analyzed are displayed.
- Individual responses: The response number, response text, and the response date and member ID are displayed for each response. For Net Promoter Score℠1 questions, the score is also displayed.
AI Summary and sentiment analysis
