Activity templates and multilingual surveys
Although the activity templates are in English (United States), you can still use them as a starting point for creating surveys in languages other than English (United States). The default locale of the new survey is handled differently depending on your locale.
If you have an English (United States) locale
The survey's default locale will be English (United States). You can use the Translations workspace to translate the survey into other languages.
If you have another English locale (Canadian, United Kingdom, or Australian)
The survey's default locale will be one of these English variants. You can use the Translations workspace to translate the survey into other languages.
If you have a non-English locale
The survey's default locale will be English (United States). Do not edit the English text in the Editor workspace. Instead, you will need to use the Translations workspace to translate the English text into other languages, including your locale.
Although English (United States) appears as the activity's default locale, you will not be able to distribute the activity in English.
In reporting, the questions and answers will display the English text.
This trick works for an activity that is distributed to one non-English locale, but not an activity intended for multiple non-English locales.
