Delete a user auto-provisioning group

You can delete a group if it is no longer needed, but you must remove any active API tokens before removing the group, and update your provisioning configuration after it is removed.

Note: You cannot delete a group while an authentication token is active. The reason for this is to avoid unexpected user role assignments while the Identity Provider (IdP) is syncing user data with Alida. Additionally, you cannot delete the default group. You must assign the default setting to a different group or add a new group and make it the default group.

The workflow you need to follow to delete a group is:

  1. Delete any active tokens in the User Auto-Provisioning page.
  2. Reassign the default group if you want to delete the default group.
  3. Delete the group.
  4. Generate a new token.
  5. Update the token in your IdP.
  1. Select Product Settings > SSO
  2. Click the User Auto-Provisioning tab.
For information about the roles and permissions you can assign to user auto-provisioning groups, see User roles.
  3. Click Remove beside the group you want to delete.
  4. In the Remove Group dialog, click Remove.
