View quick poll results

View reporting results from current and previous quick polls.

Prerequisites:

To view quick poll results, you must have a quick poll in the Widgets pane. For more information, see Add a new quick poll.

Note:
  • This content about Community portals applies to new customers who do not have Member Hubs. Upgraded customers use Member Hubs, or continue to use their portal setup from Sparq 1.
  • Author users cannot access Community, portal, and theming setup functionality.

  1. Open the Community app and click Community > Member Experience at the top of the page.
  2. Click Portal Content.
  3. From the View Widgets for menu, select the community.
    This step applies only if you have multiple communities.
  4. In the Widgets pane, find the quick poll you want to view results for.
  5. On the Widget toolbar, click the Quick Poll Results button.
  6. Optional: To view results for another quick poll, select a quick poll from the Quick Poll list.

    The Quick Poll list includes all quick polls that have ever been created for this community, including deleted quick polls. Deleting a quick poll does not delete its data from the Quick Poll Results page.

    The Quick Poll Results page is the same across all quick polls. To return to it after you have deleted a quick poll, find a different quick poll you have created and click the Quick Poll Results button.

  7. Click Back to return to the Portal Content page.
How Quick Poll answers are displayed

The Quick Poll Results page displays the participation and answer breakdown for the question you selected.

The following table corresponds to the preceding image, and explains the information displayed on the Quick Poll Results page.

Information Description
Question text The question text shown to members.
Completed The number of members who answered the quick poll.
Total viewed The total number of members who saw the quick poll, with or without providing an answer.
Tip: Hover over the participation bar graph to view detailed counts, percentages, and a breakdown of who did and didn't complete the quick poll.
Participation legend A visual explanation of what the colors in the participation bar chart represent.
Total participant count The total number of members who saw the quick poll, with or without providing an answer.
Answer text The answer options that are live on the portal at the moment you are viewing quick poll results. (If you edited answer text after the quick poll was published, they may or may not reflect what the member saw at the time they answered.)
Answer results A bar chart represents the breakdown of results among all the answer options.
Percentage The percentage of members who chose the answer.
Tooltip Hover over a bar to see the percentage and count of members who chose the answer, as well as the Completed count.
