Get a custom activity link

Create a custom activity link and use it to distribute your survey.

Use custom links to:

  • Create shorter live links that look nicer and are easier to share.
  • Create meaningful links that reflect the nature of the activity.
  • Create links that reflect your brand.

Activity links gather data anonymously. Members and nonmembers alike can complete the survey through a live activity link multiple times. On the back end, each response received through an activity link is stored as a response from a new anonymous nonmember. There is no way to connect an activity link response to a member, unless you append an identity variable to the activity link.

  1. Open a survey and click the Distribute tab.
  2. On the left menu, click Links.
  3. Click a link in the Name column.
  4. In the Custom Link area, type the URL extension.

The URL extension can be 4 to 200 alpha-numeric characters, or 2 to 100 Unicode characters.

    • These characters:

      < > * & % . : ? # + / \

    • By clicking Confirm URL, you finalize the custom link and change its status from Pending to Open. If you have made a mistake, you can create a new survey link and customize the new one.
