Get a test activity link

Use a test link to preview your activity before it's live or test unpublished changes to a live survey. Test links reflect the most recent survey draft, while live links always show the last published version. Participants who have the live link won't see the changes until you publish them.

1. Open a survey and click the Distribute tab.
2. On the left menu, click Links.
3. Click a link in the Name column.
4. Copy and paste the link.
   1. In the Test Link area, click the link to select it.
   2. Copy the link by doing any of the following:
      • Right-click and select Copy.
      • If you are on a PC, press Ctrl+C.
      • If you are on a Mac, press Command+C.
   3. Place your cursor where you want to paste the link (for example, in an email or on a website).
   4. Paste the link by doing any of the following:
      • Right-click and select Paste.
      • If you are on a PC, press Ctrl+V.
      • If you are on a Mac, press Command+V.
5. Optional: Click Preview Link to preview the test link.
   Note: This step is not possible if you have appended identity profile variables to the link.
6. Optional: Generate a QR code.
   Note: Generating QR codes for custom links, or links that contain identity variables, is not supported.
