Duplicate an invitation or a reminder

Create a duplicate of an invitation or a reminder, and use it as the basis for a new distribution email.

When you duplicate an invitation or a reminder, the duplicate includes:

  • The description
  • The subject
  • The body text
  • The member filter (if it is a reminder intended for the same community, or an invitation)

The duplicate does not include:

  • The recipient size limit
  • Community engagement rules
  • Reserved member selection
  • Deliverability and participation statistics

If the original message and duplicate share the same intended recipients, and the original message has been sent, only people who did not receive the original message will receive the duplicate.

Note: You cannot convert a duplicate invitation into a reminder or vice versa.
  1. Open the activity by doing one of the following:
    • In the Community app, click See All Activities, and then click the survey name.
    • Open the Surveys app, and then click the activity name.
    • If the activity is a recruitment survey, open the Community app, click the Recruit tab, and then click the recruitment survey name in the Recruiting list.
  2. Click the Distribute tab.
  3. Next to an invitation or reminder, click the Actions menu and select Duplicate.
  4. In the Duplicate Invitation or Duplicate Reminder dialog, type an internal name for the email.
  5. Select a Community from the Assign to a Community list.
    This step applies to customers with multiple communities.
  6. Click Create.
    Result: A duplicate message with a status of Not Sent appears, which you can then edit in the same way as a new invitation or reminder.
