View participation and message deliverability statistics
Participation and message deliverability statistics are available for every email sent as part of an activity.

Open the activity by doing one of the following:
- In the Community app, click See All Activities, and then click the survey name.
- Open the Surveys app, and then click the activity name.
- If the activity is a recruitment survey, open the Community app, click the Recruit tab, and then click the recruitment survey name in the Recruiting list.
- Click the Distribute tab.

Click the
Actions menu beside a message.

Click
Analysis to view message statistics.
The following tables contain more information about each statistic and how it is calculated.
Table 1. Message Participation Statistics: Surveys, External Surveys, and Recruitments Participation statistic Description Invited The number of recipients who are invited or reminded to complete the survey by the message. Recipient Limit The maximum number of possible recipients entered in the Set recipient size limit field of the invitation. For more information, see Create an invitation. Opened The number of recipients who opened the email. If the recipient opens the email multiple times, it is only counted once. Note:- If the recipient does not download images, the email is not counted as Opened unless they click the activity link.
- This statistic does not apply to recruitment invitations and reminders. For more information, see Open rate tracking.
Clicked The number of recipients who clicked the activity link. Note: This statistic only applies to:- Survey invitations and reminders. For more information, see Open rate tracking.
- Member hub invitations. For more information, see Distribute an activity to the Member Hub.
Started The number of recipients who received the message and started the survey. Incomplete The number of recipients who started, but did not complete the survey. Response Rate The number of recipients with a status of Completed, Disqualified, or Over Quota, expressed as a percentage of the total Invited recipients. Completed The number of recipients who received the message and completed the survey. Note: This statistic includes participants who completed the survey from the activity widget in a member hub.Disqualified The number of recipients who received the message and attempted to complete the survey but were disqualified. Over Quota The number of times that recipients who received the message have been recorded with status "Over quota" because of the following scenarios:
- Recipients are blocked from completing the survey because the entry quota was met.
- Recipients partially complete the survey, and then are disqualified or terminated because of in-survey quotas that limit the number of answers collected for specific questions.
Note: Recipients who encounter a skip rule based on a quota are not included in the Over Quota count. Depending on whether they complete the survey, do not complete the survey, or encounter a Termination Point with a quota, they could be counted as Complete, Incomplete, or Over Quota, respectively.Sent Note: This statistic applies to confirmation messages in recruitments only.The number of eligible recipients to which the confirmation message was sent.
Confirmed (opted in) Note: This statistic applies to confirmation messages in recruitments only.The number of eligible recipients who confirmed (or double opted-in) and joined the Community.
Table 2. Message Participation Statistics: Forums Participation statistic Description Invited The total number of recipients who are invited, or reminded to contribute to the forum, by the message. Visited The total number of recipients who received the message and joined or visited the forum. Voted and Posted The total number of recipients who received the message and voted, posted, and replied in the forum. Voted or Posted The total number of recipients who received the message and voted, posted, or replied in the forum. Voted The number of recipients who received the message and voted in the forum. Posted The number of recipients who received the message and posted in the forum. Lurked The number of recipients who received the message and joined, but never posted or voted in the forum. Table 3. Message Deliverability Deliverability statistic Description Success Rate A percentage value expressing the number of sent messages (minus the number of hard bounces and soft bounces), divided by the total number of sent messages. Clicked The number of recipients who clicked the activity link but have not started the activity. The Clicked count only includes the first time recipients click the link. Note: For confirmation messages in recruitments, Clicked includes the number of participants who clicked the confirmation link in the confirmation message, and in any confirmation reminders.Hard Bounces The number of recipients for whom email delivery failed because of a server error or because of an invalid email address. Soft Bounces The number of recipients for whom email delivery failed because the recipient's inbox was full. Unsubscribed The number of recipients who used the Unsubscribe link in the message to unsubscribe. Marked as Spam The number of recipients who marked the message as spam. This count only includes recipients who have a Yahoo, Hotmail, or AOL email address.
