Get a test recruitment link

Preview your recruitment process and survey through a test link before the live link is open to participants. You can use the test recruitment link yourself or share it with collaborators.

Prerequisites:
  1. Open a recruitment survey and click the Distribute tab.
  2. In the Links tab, click a link in the Name column.
  3. Copy and paste the link.
    1. In the Test Link area, click the link to select it.
    2. Copy the link by doing any of the following:
      • Right-click and select Copy.
      • If you are on a PC, press Ctrl+C.
      • If you are on a Mac, press Command+C.
    3. Place your cursor where you want to paste the link (for example, in an email or on a website).
    4. Paste the link by doing any of the following:
      • Right-click and select Paste.
      • If you are on a PC, press Ctrl+V.
      • If you are on a Mac, press Command+V.
  4. Optional: Click Preview Link to preview the test link.
    Note: This step is not possible if you have appended identity profile variables to the link.

When you use the link, you first proceed to the member sign up page, where you are prompted to enter your email address. You then complete the survey, receive a confirmation email, and confirm your membership.

The pages and emails you see are all test versions of what live participants see. Any data gathered through test recruitment links is recorded as test data in reporting, and does not affect your live data or your recruitment rates.
