Create a video discussion activity

Invite members to participate in a video discussion to provide qualitative data on a given topic.

Prerequisites:

You must be an Admin, or a Power User, Author, or Video Discussions User with the Can create new Video Discussion projects permission to complete this task.

Note: The sensitive data purge functionality does not purge Video Discussions data. To request the deletion of specific Video Discussions recordings or transcripts, please contact your Account Representative.
  1. Open the Surveys app and click New Project.
  2. Under Video Discussions, click Create.
  3. Enter the name for the activity (maximum 255 characters).
  4. Choose a Meeting Type:
    • Schedule an Interview

      Invite participants to choose a time that works best for them, and then invite them to the video discussion.

    • Instant Interview

      Invite participants to the video discussion directly.

  5. Click Create.
  6. In the Access Settings dialog, specify which users can access the forum and click Apply Access Settings.

    The access settings you can apply depend on the user role you have been assigned.

    Access Setting User Roles Description
    Everyone Power User, Author All other users in the application instance can access the activity.
    Private Power User, Author Only the user that created the activity, and Admin users, can access it.
    Admin Only Admin Only Admin users can access the activity.
    Teams Admin, Power User, Author All users that belong to the assigned team(s) can access the activity. If you belong to multiple teams, you can assign the activity to all of the teams you belong to, or just one or more specific teams.
    Note:
    • The access settings options are displayed if your account has the Can change access settings permission applied.
    • If your account does not have this permission, the activity will be assigned to the teams you belong to, or if you don't belong to any teams it will be available to everyone.
    • Admins have access to all activities, regardless of access settings.
The video discussions setup page is displayed. Click Setup to open the Overview page and then set up a video discussion.
