Video discussions Overview page

The Overview page provides quick access to your personal meeting room, scheduled video discussions, and supporting documents and stimuli, such as images and videos.

Personal meeting room

Your personal meeting room is designed for the following uses:

  • For training moderators and familiarizing them with the platform prior to a live video discussion.
  • For checking stimuli you have uploaded to ensure it appears as desired in the meeting room.
  • For debrief sessions between interviews to discuss lessons and make adjustments to the discussion guide.

The personal meeting room for each project has a URL based on your project name, and is not editable. For example, https://videodiscussions.alida.com/meet/my_project.

You cannot schedule invites for your personal meeting room. To start a conversation, click the Join Room link on your project's Overview page. To invite others to join the personal meeting room, click Copy Link and email or text them the link.

Upcoming sessions

You can schedule and edit sessions in this section, and view a list of upcoming and past sessions.

You can access moderator and observer links for all sessions, and view session details.

On the left corner of this section, you have two viewing options:

  • All Upcoming Interviews: Displays all sessions scheduled for the project, regardless of who is assigned as a moderator.
  • My Upcoming Interviews - Only displays sessions that you have been specifically assigned as a moderator.

Documents

The Documents section stores all documents associated with the project in one place. There are three main folders, and you can add subfolders as necessary.

  • Stimuli: Upload stimuli, such as images and videos, for all upcoming sessions using this field. You can create folders and upload files.
  • Reports: This is where you upload your project report.
  • Other documents: Upload other documents that may be helpful to your team on the project.

Documents in these folders can be viewed, downloaded, and deleted.

Insights

This is where you can find recordings of your video discussions and any highlight reels you have created. Results for polls that respondents have completed, and tag insights, are also displayed here.

Interview materials

Quickly access any of the following integrated features:

  • Discussion guides: Interactive discussion guides are available in the meeting room to ensure that moderators cover the required topics and keep to the allotted time for each topic.
  • Tags: Label and organize important moments in the interview.
  • Polls: Gather data on particular questions from participants.
  • Stimuli: Add images and videos to share with participants.
  • Takeaways: Gather input from moderators and observers immediately after the end of a session.

Project settings

Use the Settings link at the top of the Overview page to manage your project settings.
