Grant video discussion access to a third party observer

Observers are there to observe video discussion participants and gather insights. They can see and hear everyone in the meeting room, although participants are unaware of their presence.

If the observers in your video discussion project already have access to the Alida platform, they can log in themselves, open the project, and get the observer link themselves. However, third party observers can still join a video discussion without Alida logon credentials as long as they have the observer link. If you need to give someone third party observer access, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the video discussion project.
  2. Click the Track Participants tab.
  3. Select the desired session.
  4. Click Copy Observer Link.
  5. Paste the observer link in an email or message to the observer.
