Accessibility
Learn about the web accessibility features that Alida has built into power surveys to help you create more WCAG compliant surveys.
Web accessibility refers to the removal of barriers that prevent people with disabilities from navigating, understanding, interacting, and contributing to the Internet. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) provide recommendations on how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Where possible, question types were built to conform to the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. We strive to provide a participant experience that is screen reader friendly; however, due to the limitations of screen reader software, some survey elements cannot be viewed by visually impaired participants.
- Transcribe and add closed captioning to video files for Media-HTML5 questions.
- Avoid using rich multimedia question types such as Highlighter. Due to their visual nature, screen reader users will have difficulty navigating and responding to these questions.
