Languages

Deploy your survey to members in multiple languages.

If a language is supported, all participant-facing text comes pre-translated. In total, you can add up to 16 languages per community.

Languages example

Your community includes both English-speaking and French-speaking members. To accommodate both groups, author your survey once, translate it, and deploy the survey in two languages.

Language types

When you create a survey, different types of languages are involved:
  • Panel language: The default language of the community and any new surveys on the community. To change your default community language, contact your Account Representative or Alida Technical Support.
  • Survey language: The base language that serves as the default deployment language and as the translation guide. By default, the survey language is the same as the community language; however, you can change the default survey language on the Languages tab.
  • Authoring language: The language that you author your survey in. By default, the authoring language is the survey language, but you can change this setting for each survey.
Note: Administrators and Authors can change the default settings for the survey language or the authoring language.
