Rename a modern report

You can change the internal and external names of a report.

Prerequisites:

Open the modern report.

Each report has two names you can modify, as needed:

  1. The internal name is used to clearly identify the purpose of the report to internal stakeholders, and to distinguish it from other reports in a survey. By default, the internal name is the same as the survey name.
  2. The external name is used to describe the report for external stakeholders. By default, the external name is "Untitled Report".

You can change either, or both, of these report names.

  1. To change the internal report name:
    1. In the report toolbar, click Edit next to the internal report name.
    2. In the text box, enter the new name for the report and click the checkmark to save the new internal name.
Result: The new name is displayed in the report toolbar, and in the list of reports to choose from in the Modern Reports page.
  2. To change the external report name:
    1. In the report title, click Edit next to the external report name.
    2. In the text box, enter the new name for the report and click the checkmark to save the new internal name.
Result: The new name is displayed as the report title, and in the filename of the report when it is exported to Excel.
