Add or update multiple users from a CSV file
If you need to add a number of new users, or update a group of existing users, you can specify the required account settings for these users in a CSV file and upload it to the platform.
You must have created a comma-delimited file (CSV) that meets the following criteria:
- All required columns are included.
- Each row has an entry for each column that is either a permitted value, or a blank value for optional fields.
- The file size is a maximum of 2MB.

If you are responsible for adding or updating tens or hundreds of users, you can use the CSV upload feature to complete these changes more quickly and accurately than adding or editing individual user accounts one at a time.

The file is uploaded to the application. The file is checked to ensure that it is a valid user CSV file and that it does not exceed the maximum allowed file size (2MB).

If the first step succeeds, the file is then processed row by row to add or update each user. The status of this step is displayed in the Manage Uploads page.
Note: After an upload with updates completes, it may take several minutes for Name and Locale changes for existing users to update throughout the application.
