Comment on a post

Add a comment, image, or document in reply to a post.

Notice: Allowing member comments may impact the terms of use and privacy policy of your community. It is the responsibility of the hub owner to ensure that their members do not post any illegal content or their members do not make any inappropriate comments that could cause harm or give rise to a claim. Once posted, the submission and the identity of the community member, is visible to other community members as well.

At this time, owners and moderators do not have the ability to approve or reject a comment before it is posted. To be notified when a member comments on a post, enable email notifications.

  1. Click the comment icon at the bottom of the post.
  2. Click the Comment on this post field that appears.
  3. Type a comment in the text field.
  4. Optional: Click Add to add a link or media to the post.
    You can insert up to two images in a comment or reply. For more information, see Add an image, gallery, media, or custom HTML to a post.
    Tip: To mention another member, type the @ symbol and select a name from the list. When more than one member has the same name, the list displays five members at random. To view all of the members with the same name, type the first name followed by the space bar and the member's last name. For more information, see Tag or mention a user in a comment or reply.
  5. Optional: Format the text.
    • Click the Style toolbar to apply a paragraph style.

      Tip: H1 is recommended for the post title.
    • Select the text to apply a text style.

    Tip: To close the toolbar, place your cursor at the end of the text.

  6. Click Submit.
    Result: An email is sent to the hub owner and moderators notifying them a comment was submitted.

Comments, and any replies to them, appear in threaded view beneath the original post.
