Participate and screen share using only the mobile app

If you do not have access to a computer, you can join a mobile screen share session through your mobile device only.

Prerequisites:

Before you join the video discussion session, you should download the mobile app.

For iOS devices, download the app from the App Store.
For Android devices, download the app from Google Play.

The limitation of this option is that your video feed in the video discussion is deactivated while you are sharing your mobile screen.

When you start a mobile screen share, your video stream is replaced by the screen share stream. Audio remains enabled for both your video stream and screen share stream.

Join the video discussion session as a participant using your mobile device.
To share your mobile screen, tap the three dots located at the bottom right of the meeting room and select Mobile Screen Share.
Tap the QR button on your mobile device to open the mobile app.
Enter the mobile screen share code for the meeting and tap Start Sharing.

The required code is displayed in the Share your Mobile Screen dialog box.

The screen share code is valid for 15 minutes before the scheduled start time until the session ends.
Click Start Broadcast.

You need to wait for the moderator to allow your screen share. When this step is completed your mobile screen will be visible in the whiteboard space.
Return to the Discuss.io mobile app at any time to access these options:
- End Screen Share: Stop sharing your mobile screen. Your mobile device is disconnected from the meeting room when you end the screen share.
- Pause Screen Share: Pauses the screen share. Your mobile device remains connected to the meeting room. You can use this option to temporarily stop sharing your screen as you enter login credentials or other sensitive information.
- Link from Moderator: Opens a link shared by the moderator, if applicable.
