Create a Numeric Slider question

Add a Numeric Slider question to your survey.

1. In Power Survey Authoring, click the Questionnaire tab.
2. On the Authoring Navigation Bar, hover over Question > Numeric, and then select Numeric Slider.
3. Type a name for the question, and then click OK.
   For guidelines on question names, see Question names.
4. Add the question text.
   1. Click the Question field, and then type the question text.
      For information on formatting the text and adding files such as images, see Editing toolbar.
   2. Click Update.
   Note:

   • The application automatically removes any Javascript that you add to question text, instruction text, or content boxes.
5. In the Minimum and Maximum Scale Value fields, type the minimum and maximum values.

   The Midpoint is calculated automatically.

6. Optional: In the Minimum, Midpoint, and Maximum Label fields, type the text for each scale value.
7. Add an image to each scale value.
   1. Click the Select image button.
      
   2. In the Image Browser, select or upload the image, and then click Insert.
      Note:

      • Images in the Shared folder are available in all surveys.
      • Images in the images folder are only available in that particular survey.
      • Image file names cannot contain special characters (#, @, !, %, $, *, &).

8. Rewrite the instruction text to make sense in the context of the question.
   Example: "Please rate your level of interest on a scale of 0 to 100 where Not Interested is 0 and Very Interested is 100."
9. In the Properties section, set the question properties.

10. Click Save.
