Notification center

Manage your user notifications and determine the status of messages in the notification center.

To access the notification center, navigate to the top right of the page, and click the notification center icon.

Note:
  • The notification center does not display notifications found at the top of the page and those that disappear when you navigate away from the page.
  • Certain notification messages and user notification preferences only appear if the required sensitive data permissions are enabled. For more information, see Sensitive data permission tables.
  • Notifications remain in the notification center for 7 days.

Notification types

Option Description

Success message

The task was successful.

Error message

The task requires further action to address the error.

Warning message

The task was successful but requires action to address the warning.

Notification message

The notification center icon displays a red dot if there are new notifications.

Mark notifications as read in the notification center by:
  • Clicking Mark all as read to dismiss all unread notifications.
  • Clicking a single notification message to mark that notification as read.
Note:
  • When a message is clicked, it will be marked as read for that user. It will not affect another user's experience. For example, if Sally clicks a message it is marked as read, but when Anne clicks the notification center the same message will still be marked as unread.
  • Unread notification messages have a blue background, while read notification messages have a white background.

The following is an example of an unread success message for a member export.

Name: The name of the CSV file, activity, or distribution invitation.
Call to action: The call to action appears depending on the type of notification displayed. It allows you to download the CSV or open the page in the application.
Date and time: The date and time the user triggered the task.
Email: The email of the user that triggered the task.

Notification preferences

Select the types of notifications you want to see or hide on the My Account page. For more information, see Edit your personal user settings.

Note: Send scheduled invitations/reminders refers to scheduling emails to be sent at a specific date and time. It does not refer to the schedule invitations and reminders in scheduled video discussions.
