Export member data

Export a list of members from Community Profile metrics to a CSV file so you can find out who the members are and determine what follow-up actions are required.

Note: Activities excluded from community statistics are not included in the export. For more information, see Exclude an activity from community statistics.
  1. Open the Community app and click Metrics at the top of the page.
  2. Click Community Profile.
  3. Set the participation criteria.
For more information, see Participation rate calculator.
  4. Optional: Apply a filter to the metrics.
For more information, see Filter community metrics.

  6. Click the Overall Metrics chart to open the Export Members dialog.
  7. Optional: To preview the selected utilization/participation types and any filters you applied, click Group Details.
  8. Click Export.
Result: The following fields are exported to a CSV file:
Community customers Sparq 1 upgraded customers
    • Member ID
    • E-mail
    • Panelist Name
    • Join Date
    • Utilization/Participation
    • Count of Participated Studies
    • Count of Invited Studies
    • Member ID
    • E-mail
    • Sparq Panelist ID
    • Panelist Name
    • Join Date
    • Utilization/Participation
    • Count of Participated Studies
    • Count of Invited Studies

For Power Users, Analysts, and Authors who do not have Can access sensitive data enabled, sensitive data values are redacted in the CSV and replaced with SENSITIVE.

    Example

Admins and users with Can access sensitive data enabled may see Purged displayed for Purged members, instead of the actual sensitive data values. For more information, see Sensitive data.

    Note:
    • Participant types are based on the participation criteria you applied to the metrics.
    • Count of Invited Studies is the number of activities a member was invited to within the time frame specified by the participation rate calculator.
    • Count of Participated Studies is the number of activities a member participated in from invitations received within the time frame specified by the participation rate calculator.
      Example

If a member participates in an activity within the time frame, in response to an invitation that was sent prior to the start of the time frame, the invitation and participation will not be counted.

It is currently January 1st, 2019 and you run your community profile export. Consider the following:

      • Member A was invited to Survey 1 on June 25th, 2018.
      • Member A participated in Survey 1 on July 5th, 2018.
      • Number of months is set to 6 in the Participation Rate calculator.

      Result:

The community profile export shows that the Count of Invited Studies is 0 and Count of Participated Studies is 0 for Member A.

Note: You may notice discrepancies between the counts on your screen and the counts in the CSV export. This is because the CSV file contains real-time data, whereas the data on the screen updates in the database based on your computer's time zone. Statistics are updated daily to show the data captured as of 12:00 AM UTC on the current day.
