The Carry Forward Answers feature lets you display a subset of answers from a preceding Single Choice or Multiple Choice question in a subsequent question.

Carry Forward Answers is similar to masking. Both features let you pipe, insert, or display answers from previous questions as part of the answer set in follow-up questions. However, Carry Forward Answers relies on default presets by carrying forward selected, unselected, shown, hidden, or all answers. If these default presets serve your needs, Carry Forward Answers can improve authoring efficiency and help you maintain consistency in follow-up questions. However, if you need something more complex, masking gives you more customized and refined control through logic rules.

Tip: If you are accustomed to using masking scripts with power surveys, try Carry Forward Answers in surveys. This functionality lets you accomplish the same thing without scripting.
